I have been designing and creating since graduating from university in 1998 with a degree in textile design and surface decoration. My business has grown with me. While raising my two children, I began designing and creating from a blue shed in the back garden. I started selling at local farmers markets and was eventually able to upgrade to become a resident at Victoria Works Studios in Chalford, where I still am today.

In 2026, Lizzie Mabley Fabric & Home entered a bright new chapter as Lizzie welcomed her husband, Alan, and daughter, Lucy, into the business. With Alan managing operations and Lucy writing content, Lizzie is able to focus on the creative work at the heart of the brand. Bringing fresh ideas and a shared love of beautiful design, this family collaboration feels like a natural evolution. Exciting times are ahead…

I am inspired by pattern and nature, with a lot of ideas coming from my garden, the seaside, and any flora and fauna that catches my eye! The process begins with hand-drawn and carved lino block. After hand-printing onto paper, my designs are scanned and digitally printed onto fabric which can then be transformed into beautiful products. If my work makes you happy and puts a smile on your face, my job is done.
